- In order to use MatrixEngine plug-in, there are some hints. Please see below.
1. DirectX Installation
MatrixEngine plug-in uses Microsoft DirectX, which is software developed mainly for games. Without DirectX, your PC cannot operate MatrixEngine. Solution: Install the latest version of DirectX.
2. Video Accelerator
In order to display 3D graphics smoothly, the video accelerator and driver software which supports 3D properly. MatrixEngine might not work properly on some notebook PC.

Solution: Use video accelerator and driver software which supports Direct3D properly or contact manufacturers.
3. Setting the screen color
In order to display 3D of DirectX, the screen color must be 16bit or 32bit.
4. VRAM size
3D display consumes lots of video memory. If VRAM is less than 16MB, MatrixEngine might not work properly.

Solution: If the screen color is set to 32bit, change to 16bit, or reduce the screen size.
5. Sound
Obviously, no sound come out if your PC doesn't have a hardware for sound output. However, it doesn't affect to displaying graphics.
6. CPU capability
If the CPU capability is not enough, the display speed may be slow and sound may be paused.
7. System Memory Size
If the size of system memory is not big enough, the replay speed may be slow.
8. Connection Speed
If the speed of your telecommunication circuit is slow, loading time (especially first time plug-in) may be slow and replaying streams (movie, MP3 sound, etc.) may be paused.
9. Operating for long hours
If you keep using or leave MatrixEngine for long hours, the operation might be unstable (especially on notebook PC).

Driver Information
- If you use the latest driver of MATROX's G200 or G400, it may occur some problem on display. As solution, please go to [property] - [setting] - [options] - [performance] and OFF on checkbox of "Use bus mastering".

- If you use ATI's RAGE series or RADEON, it may occur some problem on display. As solution, use "Special Purpose Driver" which can be downloaded from ATI's English Home Page.

If you use NVidea's VANTA, please set the color display to 16bit.

- If you use PowerVR3(KYRO) and the screen color is set to 16bit, it may occur some problem on display. As solution, please set the color to 32bit.

- general hints on updating display driver
The latest display driver can be downloaded from the HP of PC manufacturers (notebook PC) or chip/board manufacturers. The installation method may vary between the manufactures, so please make sure.
